Returns/Exchange Policies:
Stock Items:
I want you to love your taviametal jewelry and will do my best to ensure your satisfaction. Any ready made item purchased from taviametal, either on-line or in person, may be exchanged unworn within 14 days of purchase (or arrival) in original packaging. Shipping costs will not be refunded and new shipping charges will be billed to the customer and must be paid prior to shipment. In the situation of a gift, in which it is sometimes hard to be sure you are choosing the perfect item, the above policy stays in effect and I will happily work with the recipient to be sure of their satisfaction. If you are shipping a return, I recommend insuring the item(s) and getting a tracking number. Returns lost in shipping cannot be refunded or exchanged.
**Each piece is carefully handcrafted. If we are creating a reproduction of a stock item, there will be slight variations due to the nature of the materials and the creative process.**
Custom Orders:
Because of the client-specific nature of commissioned pieces, they may not be exchanged or returned for a refund. Cancellation of a custom order may cause forfeiture of the deposit, or portion of, depending upon time of cancellation. Every care is taken to so that commissioned pieces are created according to your wishes, using such measures as prototypes for fitting, visits or emailed photos of pieces in process, and communication during the process.
Commissioned pieces are photographed upon completion for my records and/or for inclusion in my portfolio. This may include usage on thetaviametalwebsite, in marketing materials, social media, and in a related blog. Whenever a commissioned piece is featured online or in marketing materials, information regarding the piece may be included, i.e. technical specifics, materials, the intended symbolism of the piece, and the purpose in commissioning the piece, i.e. wedding, honoring a family member, etc. All designs are property of taviametal.
Repairs:
Repairs on taviametaljewelry will be serviced free of charge by taviametalwithin 14 days of purchase for fabrication defects. There is no charge for repairs due to a defect. Also, you cover shipping costs to get the item in need of repair back to me, and I will pay shipping charges to return the fixed item to you.
For non-fabrication defects, repairs will be billed per item based upon the repair needed. I do not do repairs on jewelry made by other artists.
Jewelry Care:
Keep jewelry in an airtight container, like a jewelry box, in a dry location to discourage tarnishing; which is a natural process that occurs when metal is repeatedly exposed to air and chemicals. You may also choose to store your silver in an anti-tarnish box wrapped in soft cloths. If tarnishing does occur rub gently with a soft cloth. Polishing agents and solutions are not advised as they may alter the finish of the metals, stones, or other materials used. You can use a mild dish detergent with a soft toothbrush to scrub and clean your jewelry. Patinas may alter over time from wearing. If at any time you would like the original finish restored to your taviametalpiece, feel free to contact me for a re-fresh.
Privacy:
taviametalaccepts all major credit cards. Credit card numbers are not stored on premises or in taviametalstudio records. If you choose to store credit card information in the online shop in your own account, that is secured by the online company with their own privacy policies. Email addresses and other contact information are kept securely as a matter of studio records by taviametal. Client requests to opt out of receiving any email correspondence are (always) honored. (Forgive us if human error occurs occasionally).

Shipping
- Listed “ready-made” items will be shipped within 1 to 2 business days after we receive your payment.
- “Made to Order” items - jewelry pieces that are existing designs but not in stock - will generally be shipped within my normal production time which is approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on what you have ordered.
- More complicated commissioned items will take between 4 – 12 weeks for production.
If I cannot complete your item within these timeframes, I will do my best to let you know at the time of purchase.
Shipping costs for items purchased from the taviametalonline shop are calculated at time of checkout.
Shipping costs for commissioned work vary from $20– $60 for domestic shipping, depending on price of the item purchased. Thisincludes shipping, insurance and tracking.
International purchases of ready-made itemswill ship by the best method deemed most efficient and cost effective at the time, with insurance and tracking. For international commissioned orders I will be in contact with you to discuss the best method and timeframe.
